Members of Linden Department of Public Works celebrated at 7th Annual Mole Day!
On Saturday, the 4th of February, Bay City once again came together to celebrate the hardy Moles of the Linden Department of Public Works. The event was held in the Bay City Fairgrounds in North Channel. This was the 7th such event, set aside to show appreciation for The Moles and their many contributions to Bay City and the rest of the Second Life™ Grid. Normally held on the same day as Groundhog Day, this year's event was observed two days later, taking advantage of the weekend. The event featured a performance by DJ GoSpeed of KONA Stream, followed by a live performance by Oblee (Obleoinkment Wrigglesworth).
"Moles" are members of The Linden Department of Public Works (LDPW). The LDPW is a program focused on improvements related to the experience of living on, or visiting the Linden Mainland. The LDPW is a team of Resident builders, scriptwriters, and others to create new content on Linden Lab's behalf and to the benefit of all. These Residents all have Second Life accounts with the last name “Mole.” Moles build the infrastructure of Second Life: the public roads and railways, items in our coastal waterways and protected lands, and even larger scale projects like the Linden Homes regions, premium content and experiences, and much more.
In the photo above, see (from left to right) Mole Extraordinaire Michael Linden and Xiola Linden (on drums) as they join Oblee on stage for his set. Dyna Mole and Garden Mole were also on hand for the fun. Thanks to all of the moles Grid-wide who help to make our Second Life experience so much richer!
A very mysterious message notice flooded the BCA yesterday, residents are stumped! See what you think of it:
PROTECTING OUR SHORESA decommissioned naval submarine has been added to the city's own fleet, as a protective measure against incursions from Caledonian saboteurs. You can count on our city's sailors to keep our waterways safe!
BREAK BREAKING BREAKERLooks like when the staff at the Y-Stay mistake a bug bomb for a pipe bomb, disaster-larity ensues!
Don't forget to click on the columns to the left to see what our roving reporters were up to this month. May your February be full of all of the fun Bay City has to offer!
